UPSC CAPF Assistant Commandant Recruitment Notification

The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has issued an official announcement regarding the recruitment of Assistant Commandants in the Central Armed Police Forces (CAPF). Aspirants gearing up for the UPSC CAPF AC 2026 examination can now submit their applications online through the UPSC's official portal. The application process is currently open and will remain available until March 12, 2026.

Eligibility Criteria for Applicants

Candidates' ages will be determined as of August 1, 2026. The minimum age limit is set at 20 years, while the maximum age limit is 25 years. Reserved category candidates will benefit from age relaxation: SC and ST candidates will receive a five-year extension, and OBC candidates will have a three-year extension. Additionally, applicants must possess a graduation degree from a recognized institution in India.

Selection Process

The selection of candidates will be based on a written examination, Physical Efficiency Test (PET), and Physical Standards Test (PST). The written exam will comprise two papers: Paper 1 with 250 questions and Paper 2 with 200 questions. This examination is scheduled for July 19, 2026, with Paper 1 taking place from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM and Paper 2 from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM. Candidates who pass the written exam will be invited to participate in the PET and PST.
