For youth eager to secure a government position within the Railways, Southern Railway has unveiled a recruitment initiative aimed at filling 4,471 apprenticeship roles. The online application process is currently open and will remain available until September 27, 2026. Interested candidates can apply by visiting the official Southern Railway website.


**Eligibility Criteria: 10th Pass and ITI Holders**


Candidates wishing to apply for these apprenticeship roles must have completed their 10th, 12th, or ITI examinations, depending on the specific trade or position. Additionally, applicants must be at least 15 years old, with the upper age limit set at 22 or 24 years, depending on the role. Age relaxation will be granted to candidates from reserved categories as per existing regulations.


**Application Fee Structure**


Applicants from General, OBC, and EWS categories are required to pay an application fee of ₹100. However, candidates belonging to SC, ST, and PwD categories, along with female applicants from all categories, are exempt from this fee.

**Selection Process**


This recruitment will not involve a written examination or interview. Candidates will be shortlisted based on their educational qualifications and will only be called for document verification. Those who pass this verification will be appointed to the available positions. Selected freshers will receive a monthly stipend of ₹8,200, while 12th-pass freshers and Ex-ITI candidates will earn ₹9,600 per month.
