UPSC LDCE 2026 Overview


UPSC LDCE 2026: The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) is set to hold the Limited Departmental Competitive Examination (LDCE) for the recruitment of Assistant Commandants (Executive) in the Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) on March 8, 2026, in New Delhi. The online application process for this examination has commenced on the official UPSC website.


Vacancies and Eligibility

Total Vacancies: A total of 20 positions are available, which include 16 for the General category, 3 for Scheduled Castes (SC), and 1 for Scheduled Tribes (ST). This examination is exclusively for eligible departmental candidates currently employed in CISF, as per the guidelines from the Ministry of Home Affairs.


Application Process

Application Deadline: The application window opened on December 3 and will close at 6 PM on December 23. Candidates are advised to fill out all sections of the application accurately, as no corrections will be permitted afterward.


Once the online application is completed, candidates must print the application, have it verified by the designated officer, and submit it to the CISF Headquarters through the appropriate channels by January 9 at the following address:

Examination and Selection Process

Candidates who achieve the minimum qualifying marks in the written examination will be invited by CISF for the Physical Efficiency Test (PET) and Medical Standard Test.
