UPPSC PCS 2025 Mains Exam Results Released



A significant update has emerged for those who took part in the Uttar Pradesh Provincial Subordinate Services (PCS) 2025 Mains examination. The Uttar Pradesh Public Service Commission (UPPSC) has officially announced the results of the written exam. Out of the total participants, 2,297 candidates have successfully qualified and will now advance to the interview phase. A final merit list will be compiled after the interviews, leading to the announcement of the ultimate results.


Exam Participation and Vacancies

The UPPSC PCS 2025 Mains examination took place from March 29 to April 1, 2026, across various centers in Prayagraj and Lucknow. A total of 10,284 candidates participated in this examination, with 2,297 qualifying for the next stage.


Details on Marks and Cut-off Scores

According to UPPSC Secretary Girijesh Tyagi, information regarding candidates' scores, cut-off marks, and other relevant details will be disclosed only after the final results are announced post-interviews.


Recruitment for 814 Positions

The UPPSC is overseeing the recruitment process for 814 positions as part of the PCS 2025 examination. This includes filling 28 different types of posts. Notably, for two specific post types, selection will be based solely on the written exam, with no interviews required. Results for these candidates will be released alongside the final results for other positions.


Court Decision Impacting Results

It is important to note that the results of the PCS 2025 Mains examination are subject to the outcome of ongoing court proceedings. The UPPSC has indicated that Writ Petition No. 4253/2026 and the case of Archit Shivam Mishra vs. State of Uttar Pradesh & Others are currently under consideration in the Allahabad High Court, and the results will depend on the court's ruling.
