Supreme Court JCA Recruitment 2026: The Supreme Court has announced a recruitment drive for the position of Junior Court Assistants (JCA). Eligible Indian citizens are invited to submit their online applications as per Advertisement No. F.6/2026-SC (RC). A total of 250 tentative positions are available under this recruitment initiative, categorized as Group-B, Non-Gazetted.


The advertisement was released on September 30, 2026, and the online application process will begin on October 7, 2026. Candidates can submit their applications until 11:55 PM on October 28, 2026.


Qualifications for Junior Court Assistant:
Applicants must possess a bachelor's degree from a recognized university in India. Additionally, candidates should have proficiency in computer operations and a typing speed of at least 35 words per minute in English. The cutoff date for determining educational qualifications and eligibility is September 1, 2026. Candidates must be aged between 18 and 30 years as of this date.


Selection Process Overview:


The selection for the Junior Court Assistant role involves four stages, with candidates required to meet the qualifying criteria at each level.

Advancement to Next Stages:
Candidates who achieve a minimum of 50 marks in the objective test will be shortlisted for the subsequent stage. Approximately 1:10 candidates will be invited for the typing test based on the 250 tentative vacancies. The descriptive test answer sheets will only be evaluated for those who pass the typing test. Candidates who qualify in the objective, typing, and descriptive tests will then be called for an interview in a ratio of about 1:3. The final merit list will be created based on performance and reservation rules.


Examination Locations:
The objective test will take place in 131 cities nationwide. The typing and descriptive tests will be conducted in Delhi/National Capital Region (NCR), while interviews may be held online or in person in Delhi. Admit cards will be available for download online only; no physical copies will be mailed. No travel or daily allowances will be provided for attending the examination or interview.


Application Fee Structure:
The application fee varies by category:


General, Unreserved, and Economically Weaker Section (EWS): ₹1,500
SC, ST, OBC (Non-Creamy Layer), Ex-Servicemen, and Persons with Disabilities (PwD): ₹750


Bank charges will also apply. Payments can only be made online through the UCO Bank payment gateway on the Supreme Court's website. The application fee is non-refundable once paid.
