SSC Stenographer Skill Test Schedule

SSC Update: The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) has revealed the dates for the Skill Test associated with the Stenographer Recruitment Examination for the year 2025. As per the official announcement, candidates who meet the eligibility criteria can participate in the SSC Stenographer Skill Test on January 28 and 29, 2025.

Candidates Selected for Skill Test

31,080 Candidates Shortlisted
A total of 31,080 candidates have been selected to take the skill test for Grade ‘C’ and Grade ‘D’ positions in the SSC Stenographer 2025 recruitment. Among these, 8,624 candidates are provisionally eligible for Grade ‘C’ roles, while 22,456 candidates have been chosen for Grade ‘D’ roles. It is important to note that the results of the written examination for SSC Stenographer 2025 were announced on November 28.

Total Vacancies for Recruitment

Recruitment for 1,590 Positions
The SSC Stenographer recruitment examination aimed to fill a total of 1,590 vacancies, which include 230 positions for Group ‘C’ and 1,360 positions for Group ‘D’.

Examination Details

This recruitment examination was conducted in a Computer-Based Test (CBT) format on August 6, 7, 8, and 11. Candidates who successfully passed the written examination are now invited to participate in the skill test, which will finalize the selection process.

Skill Test Format

Understanding the Skill Test
The skill test for SSC Stenographer 2025 is designed to be qualifying only and will not factor into the merit list. The Commission has established distinct criteria for Grade ‘C’ and Grade ‘D’ candidates that must be adhered to.

During the skill test, candidates will receive dictation in either English or Hindi. For Grade ‘C’ positions, candidates must transcribe a 10-minute dictation at a speed of 100 words per minute, while for Grade ‘D’ positions, the required speed is 80 words per minute.
