The State Bank of India (SBI) has announced an extension for the application deadline concerning the Specialist Cadre Officer (Bank Medical Officer) positions. This decision provides an additional chance for candidates who missed the initial application window. As per the latest SBI notification, interested individuals can now submit their applications for the SBI SCO BMO roles until July 21, 2026, through the official SBI website.


**Eligibility Criteria**


The age of applicants will be assessed as of May 31, 2026, with a maximum age limit set at 35 years. Age relaxation is applicable for candidates from reserved categories: 3 years for OBC, 5 years for SC/ST, and 10 years for PwD (Persons with Disabilities). An MBBS degree is mandatory for applying to these positions.


**Salary Structure**


Selected candidates will receive a monthly salary ranging from ₹64,820 to ₹93,960.


**Selection Procedure**


The selection process will include a written examination, an interview, and a local language proficiency test. The written exam will feature 100 questions totaling 100 marks, covering areas such as Reasoning, Quantitative Aptitude, English, and Professional Knowledge. Notably, there will be no negative marking for incorrect answers. Candidates who pass this exam will be called for an interview.


**Application Fee**


All applicants are required to pay a registration fee of ₹750, applicable to General, OBC, and EWS candidates. However, SC, ST, and PwD candidates are exempt from this fee.
