Rajasthan SI Recruitment Update: High Court's Stay on Cancellation Decision

Significant Development in Rajasthan Sub Inspector Recruitment

A crucial update has emerged regarding the Rajasthan Sub Inspector recruitment process. The double bench of the High Court has issued a stay on the earlier decision made by a single bench to annul the SI recruitment.

This stay will remain in effect until the case is heard and a final decision is reached. This ruling has provided a glimmer of hope for the selected candidates whose employment was at risk.

Previously, the case was reviewed by a single bench led by Judge Sameer Jain. After concluding the hearing, the court reserved its judgment on August 14, stating that individuals wrongfully selected to maintain law and order should not be permitted to serve. The court also mandated a re-evaluation of the posts included in the recruitment announced in July.

Irregularities and Paper Leak Issues

Major irregularities including paper leak had come to the fore

In August, the High Court annulled the Rajasthan Sub Inspector Recruitment Exam 2021, marking a significant setback for the state government. This recruitment was intended for 859 Sub Inspector positions. The 2021 exam revealed serious irregularities, including a paper leak, leading to the arrest of 54 training station in-charges selected after the SI Recruitment 2021 exam. To date, 122 individuals have been arrested in connection with this case, including two members of the Rajasthan Public Service Commission.

Exam was conducted for Sub Inspector and Platoon Commander

The Rajasthan Public Service Commission (RPSC) conducted the examination in September 2021 for a total of 859 positions, including Sub Inspector and Platoon Commander. The exam took place from September 13 to 15, 2021, and the question paper was leaked from Ravindra Bal Bharti Senior Secondary School in Shanti Nagar, Hasanpura. The principal of the school and the exam center superintendent, Rajesh Khandelwal, were pivotal in the paper leak incident.
