Power Supply Issues During NEET PG 2026



The National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences (NBEMS) has established a three-member committee to investigate the power supply failures that impacted two iON Digital Zone centers in Sitapura, Jaipur, during the NEET PG 2026 examination. This committee will look into the events leading to the power outage and determine the underlying causes of the disruption.


Due to the internal power supply failure, the examination could not be completed at these centers, affecting the candidates present.


Committee Composition

The investigative committee consists of three senior officials:


1. A senior representative from the Rajasthan Government


2. An official of Joint Secretary rank from the Union Ministry of Health


3. A senior engineering officer from the Central Electricity Authority


An official has stated that the committee will thoroughly investigate the situation and provide a report within the designated timeframe.


Re-Examination Details

NBEMS has announced a re-examination for the 2,445 candidates who were unable to complete their tests due to the power supply issues. This re-examination is scheduled to take place in Jaipur on September 5, 2026, at 3:00 PM.


The board has expressed its regret for the inconvenience caused to the affected candidates, emphasizing that the re-examination aims to provide a fair opportunity for all.


Clarification on Question Paper Leak

In the wake of the exam disruption in Jaipur, rumors regarding a potential question paper leak circulated on social media. However, PIB Fact Check has labeled these claims as misleading, confirming that no leak occurred during the NEET PG examination.
