KVS Admission Result 2026 Overview



Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan (KVS) has set the stage for the 2026-27 academic session with the announcement of the first provisional admission list, which is expected to be released in April. Here are the essential details regarding the admission process.


Release Dates for Provisional Lists

The initial selection list for Balvatika-1, 2 (if applicable), and Balvatika-3 is scheduled for release on April 8, 2026. For Class 1 admissions, the list will be available on April 9, 2026. However, in Assam, Kerala, and Puducherry, due to ongoing elections, the lists for both Balvatika and Class 1 will be published on April 10, 2026.


Subsequent Lists and Admission Process

Should there be any vacant seats after the first list, KVS will issue a second provisional list on April 16, 2026, followed by the third and final list on April 21, 2026.


Admissions will prioritize students under the Right to Education (RTE) Act, followed by those in Service Priority Categories I and II. Remaining seats will then be filled by other applicants.


Offline Admissions Schedule

In case of a low number of online applications, a notification for special categories (RTE, SC, ST, OBC) will be released on April 21, 2026. Offline registrations will take place from April 22 to April 26, 2026, with admission lists published and admissions conducted between April 27 and April 30.


For Balvatika-2 and classes above Class 2 (excluding Class 11), offline admissions will occur from April 2 to April 8, 2026, with the selection list announced on April 13, and the admission process finalized between April 15 and April 20.


Class 11 Admission Timeline

Class 11 admissions will begin after the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) announces the Class 10 results. For KV students, registration will start within 10 days of the results, and the entire admission process will be completed within 30 days.


Final Admission Deadline

The last date for admissions across all classes, except Class 11, is set for June 30, 2026. If there are still vacant seats, admissions may continue until July 31, 2026.
