Eligibility Criteria
Eligibility Criteria for Application
The eligibility requirements for the IOCL Apprentice positions differ based on the specific role. For Technician Apprentices, candidates must hold a 3-year diploma in the relevant engineering field with at least 50% marks for the general category. Trade Apprentices need to have completed Matriculation (10th grade) along with 2 years of ITI training.
For Graduate Apprentice roles, a Bachelor's degree in BBA, BA, B.Com, or B.Sc. is necessary, with a minimum of 50% marks for the General category or 45% for other reserved categories. Additionally, candidates applying for the Data Entry Operator Trade Apprentice position must have passed the 12th grade and possess a data entry skills certificate.

Candidates must be at least 18 years old and not older than 24 years (for General/EWS category). Age relaxation will be applicable for candidates from reserved categories.
Selection Process
How will the selection be made?
The selection for the IOCL Apprentice recruitment will be determined through a merit list. This list will be created for each trade/discipline based on the percentage of marks obtained in the required educational qualification examinations.
In the event of a tie in merit (equal marks), preference will be given to the older candidate. If the birth dates are the same, the candidate with higher marks in the Matriculation examination will be prioritized. Candidates who are selected in the merit list will undergo document verification and must pass a medical fitness test before their appointment. Those who successfully complete these stages will receive a final offer for apprenticeship training.
