FIITJEE Announces Fee Refund for Affected Students Amid Class Closures
Fee Refund Announcement by FIITJEE
FIITJEE, a prominent coaching institute for IIT-JEE in India, has declared a proportional fee refund for parents whose children were impacted by the suspension of offline classes at certain centers in 2025. The refund process is set to commence in the last week of June 2026, with the corporate office in Delhi overseeing the entire operation, while local centers will not participate.
In a communication directed to parents, the institute's leadership explained that external factors and misleading information led to unfavorable conditions, necessitating the temporary halt of offline classes at some locations. Additionally, rumors about the sale of these centers exacerbated the situation.
To prevent any disruption in students' education during this period, FIITJEE swiftly transitioned to online classes. Through the FIITJEE eSchool platform, students continued their preparations for JEE Main, JEE Advanced, board examinations, Olympiads, NTSE, and other competitive assessments. The institute reported significant participation in online classes, ensuring that students' studies remained uninterrupted.
Parents will be informed of their specific refund amounts by June 15, 2026. Starting June 16, 2026, a dedicated email address will be available for parents to seek information or clarifications regarding the refund process.
Looking ahead, FIITJEE plans to implement a new collaborative model that will involve partnerships with entrepreneurs to operate centers, world schools, and global schools. This approach will replace the traditional franchise fee with a fixed establishment fee and an annual licensing fee, aimed at enhancing educational quality and management.
The institute has emphasized that its objective during this "2.0" phase is to create a more stable and improved educational environment, allowing each student's potential to be fully realized.
