The Council of Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR) has initiated the recruitment process for the Technician (1) position. Interested candidates can submit their online applications starting from August 18, with the final date for submission set for September 17, 2026, at 5:00 PM.

Eligibility Criteria

**Required Qualifications: 10th Pass + ITI**

Applicants must have completed their SSC/10th grade and possess an ITI certification in the relevant field. The upper age limit for applicants is 28 years as of September 17, 2026. However, age relaxation is available for candidates from reserved categories as per government norms.

**Who is Exempt from Fees?**

Candidates belonging to SC, ST, PH (Physically Handicapped), Ex-servicemen, and women are exempt from paying the application fee. Those in the General, OBC, or EWS categories must pay an application fee of ₹500 online.

Selection Process and Salary Details

**Selection and Compensation**

The selection process involves shortlisting candidates by a committee, followed by a trade test and an OMR-based Computer-Based Test (CBT). A final merit list will be published after all stages are completed. Selected candidates will receive a monthly salary ranging from ₹19,900 to ₹63,200.
