CIL MT Vacancy 2026: Coal India Limited (CIL) has announced the recruitment of 660 Management Trainee (MT) positions. Eligibility Criteria for Applicants

Engineering: Candidates should have a degree in the relevant engineering field with at least 60% marks.


Computer Systems: A First Class BE/B.Tech/B.Sc (Engineering) degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or IT, or a First Class MCA degree is required.


Electronics and Telecom: A BE/B.Tech/B.Sc (Engineering) degree in the relevant discipline with a minimum of 60% marks is necessary.


Geology: Candidates must hold an M.Sc or M.Tech degree in Geology, Applied Geology, Geophysics, or Applied Geophysics with at least 60% marks.


Rajbhasha (Hindi): An MA in Hindi with a minimum of 60% marks is required, along with at least 50% in the undergraduate degree, having studied both Hindi and English.

Age Limit: The maximum age for General (UR) and EWS candidates is 30 years, with no relaxation. OBC (Non-Creamy Layer) candidates have a 3-year relaxation, making their limit 33 years, while SC/ST candidates enjoy a 5-year relaxation, setting their limit at 35 years.


Exam Pattern Information

Exam Pattern: The examination will be a 3-hour Computer-Based Test (CBT) consisting of two papers (Paper-I and Paper-II), each worth 100 marks, totaling 200 marks. Paper I will include 100 multiple-choice questions on General Knowledge/Awareness, Reasoning Ability, Numerical Ability, and General English, while Paper II will assess professional knowledge in the candidate's specific subject area.


Salary and Bond Regulations

Salary and Bond: The starting salary for a Management Trainee at Coal India is ₹60,000 per month, potentially increasing to ₹1,80,000 (E-1 Grade). Employees receive various benefits, including Dearness Allowance (DA), HRA, Canteen Allowance, Performance Bonus (PRP), medical facilities, pension, and gratuity.


This role requires a service bond, obligating the selected candidate to serve for a minimum of 5 years (60 months). A bond of ₹3 lakhs must be signed upon joining, which will be deducted monthly at ₹5,000 from the salary. After completing the 5-year term, the entire deducted amount will be refunded to the employee without interest.
