Success in the First Year; Model Now Further Strengthened
**Initial Success and Expansion**
This initiative was first launched during the 2025-26 academic year, aligning with the goals of the National Education Policy 2020 (NEP 2020). Its primary aim was to enhance collaboration between parents and educational institutions, thereby promoting the overall development of students. The inaugural year saw a very encouraging response, with active involvement from parents, educators, and school administrators nationwide.
Special Features Added for the New Session
**Enhanced Structure and Practicality**
For the current year, CBSE has refined the Parenting Calendar to make it more organized and applicable. It now includes improved engagement strategies, activities led by teachers, and psychosocial initiatives aimed at supporting the emotional, social, and academic growth of students. This initiative also acknowledges the challenges parents encounter in today's fast-paced world.
New Sections Such as ‘Inclusion’ and ‘Coping with Changes’
**New Additions to the Calendar**
This year's calendar features several new sections. The 'Inclusion' section emphasizes the importance of sensitivity and equal opportunities for students from varied backgrounds. The 'Coping with Changes' section is designed to help both parents and students adjust to new curricula and shifting academic standards. Additionally, the 'Parenting Workshops' section has been enhanced to allow schools to develop age-appropriate and beneficial programs.
Enhanced Dialogue Between Parents and Schools
**Improving Communication**
This Parenting Calendar aims to foster better communication between parents and their children while reinforcing the connection between home and school. It will also serve as a practical resource for parents, enabling them to take an active role in their children's educational journey.
