CBSE LOC Correction Process for 2026-27: Important Guidelines for Students and Parents
CBSE LOC Correction for Academic Year 2026-27
CBSE LOC Correction 2026-27: A significant update has emerged for students and their guardians regarding the Class 10 and 12 board exams organized by the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE). The board has commenced the correction process for the List of Candidates (LOC) submitted by educational institutions for the academic year 2026-27. Schools have the opportunity to rectify any inaccuracies related to a student's name, date of birth, or subject choices through the official website, cbse.gov.in, until November 7, 2026.
Direct Changes by Students or Parents Not Allowed:
CBSE has made it clear that only schools are permitted to amend the submitted information. Students and parents cannot directly modify their details on the board's website. Therefore, it is crucial for parents to promptly reach out to their child's school to address any discrepancies.
7 Key Guidelines for Parents from CBSE:
1. Verify that the student's name, date of birth, mother's name, and father's name are accurately recorded in the LOC.
2. Ensure all names are written in full, avoiding abbreviations or initials, as complete names may be necessary for future official documentation.
3. Confirm that the student's name includes a surname, which is essential for future studies or travel abroad, as many countries require this.
4. Double-check the student's date of birth for any errors.
5. If the student possesses a passport, parents should ensure that the LOC information matches the passport details precisely.
6. Students in grades 10 and 12 must carefully review their selected subjects, as no changes will be allowed after the correction period ends.
7. The Board emphasizes that it is the parents' responsibility to ensure the accuracy of all information submitted to CBSE.
According to an official notice from CBSE, this correction facility offers schools, parents, and students an additional chance to amend data before the main examinations, ensuring a smooth and transparent conduct of board exams.
