Technical Issues with CBSE Portal

Class 12 students from the CBSE Board are currently experiencing significant challenges in submitting their applications due to technical problems with the answer sheet portal. This frustration is evident on various social media platforms.

The recent launch of the online portal by CBSE, intended for students to request copies of their evaluated answer sheets, has instead become a source of stress. On May 19, the Board announced that students could apply for their checked answer booklets. However, many encountered a "Service Unavailable" message when trying to access the portal, a problem that persisted into May 20. Students expressed their concerns online, noting that the link was completely unresponsive.

Application Deadline Extended

In a bid to alleviate some of the pressure, CBSE has extended the application deadline from May 22 to May 23. However, students feel that this one-day extension is inadequate, especially since the portal has been inaccessible for extended periods, hindering their ability to submit applications. They are calling for at least a week's extension to ensure fair access for all. Currently, the portal continues to show a message stating, "Site is Under Updation."

Process for Reviewing Answer Sheets

At this stage, CBSE has initiated the process solely for students to obtain copies of their evaluated answer sheets. This allows students to review their sheets first, and if they find any discrepancies, they can apply for verification of marks or re-evaluation in the subsequent phase. According to the Board's timeline, applications for mark verification, error reporting, and re-evaluation are set to be accepted from May 26 to May 29.

Clarifications from the Board

The Board has clarified that if students notice any discrepancies after reviewing their answer sheets, they can submit an application during the specified dates. A team of experts will then reassess the answer sheets, which may result in an increase or decrease in the student's marks.

Challenges Faced by Students

The main issue students are grappling with is the inability to access the portal to submit their applications. Many have reported that over 24 hours have passed without the link functioning. Some students have mentioned that despite multiple attempts, the site either fails to load or crashes unexpectedly.
