CBSE Re-evaluation Process for Class 12

The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) is currently overseeing the re-evaluation of answer sheets for Class 12 students. In a recent notification, the Board has reassured students and their parents that those who experienced an incorrect deduction exceeding the required fee during the application process need not worry. The excess amount will be refunded directly to the students' accounts.

Students and guardians have until today, May 24, to submit their applications for re-checking answer sheets.

Key Information from the Notification

As per the notification from CBSE: "On May 21–22, 2026, some technical issues led to incorrect fee deductions while students were applying for scanned copies of their answer sheets. In certain instances, an excess fee was charged, while in others, a lower fee was applied. All students who overpaid will receive a refund to the account used for payment. For those who underpaid, notifications will be sent regarding any remaining balance. Scanned copies of evaluated answer sheets will be provided without requiring a new request."

Re-evaluation Application Timeline

CBSE has stated that if students notice any discrepancies in their scanned answer sheets after receiving them, or if they wish to request a re-evaluation, they must apply for 'Verification/Re-evaluation' within two days of receiving the scanned copies.

Compartment Exam Applications Open on June 2
