The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) is anticipated to announce the results for the Class 10 second board examination shortly. While the board has yet to confirm the exact date and time for the results, an official announcement is expected soon. Students who participated in the examination will be able to check their results on the official CBSE website and download their marksheets. Additionally, results will be accessible through DigiLocker and the UMANG app.


New Examination System

This year, CBSE implemented a two-exam system for Class 10 students. The second board examination took place from May 15 to May 21, 2026. This initiative was introduced to provide students with an additional chance to enhance their scores within the same academic year. It also allows students with 'compartment' status to take the exam without waiting for the next academic year.


Student Participation

Around 6.7 lakh students registered for the CBSE Class 10 second board examination. A significant number of these applications were from students aiming to improve their scores from the first board exam. Specifically, approximately 5.25 lakh students signed up for the improvement exam, while over 85,000 applied for the compartment exam, indicating a favorable response to CBSE's new examination structure.

3. Enter your roll number, school number, and admit card ID.

Science was a popular subject in the second board exam


Science emerged as the most favored subject in the second board examination, followed closely by Mathematics and Social Science. Many students also chose regional and foreign languages. However, the enrollment for subjects like Artificial Intelligence, Tourism, Music, and Painting was relatively low.

Once the results are released, students can view and download their marksheets by visiting the official CBSE results websites: cbseresults.nic.in, results.cbse.nic.in, and cbse.gov.in. Students should have their roll number, school number, and admit card ID ready. Some platforms may also ask for a date of birth and a security PIN.
