Bihar PSC 72nd CCE Vacancy Update: The Bihar Public Service Commission (BPSC) announced the official notification for the 72nd Combined Competitive Examination (CCE) on May 5, 2026. Initially, 1,230 positions were advertised; however, this number has now been adjusted to 1,186, reflecting a decrease of 44 vacancies.

Details of Revised Vacancies
The BPSC has released a corrigendum regarding the 72nd Combined (Preliminary) Competitive Examination 2026, which updates the original announcement made on May 5, 2026.

As per the latest notification, 44 vacancies for the role of 'Cane Officer' in the Sugarcane Industry Department have been removed from the recruitment list. These positions were previously listed as Serial Number 11 in Table 1.

The adjustment is due to the classification of these roles under the Bihar Sugarcane Development Rules 2025, which categorize them as Assistant Director (Sugarcane Development) and similar roles. The eligibility requirements and examination format for these positions differ from those applicable to the Combined Competitive Examination.

As a result, these roles have been excluded from the current recruitment cycle, bringing the total number of vacancies to 1,186.
