The application phase for the 72nd Combined Preliminary Competitive Examination 2026, organized by BPSC, is now in its concluding stages. Total Number of Posts Increased

The recruitment drive will fill 1,189 vacant positions. A revised notification from the Commission indicates that the number of posts for Lower Registrar/Joint Lower Registrar in the Prohibition, Excise, and Registration Department has been raised from 3 to 6. Reservations are available for different categories, including General, Economically Weaker Sections (EWS), Backward Classes, and Women.


Eligibility Criteria

Candidates wishing to apply for the BPSC 72nd Combined Competitive Examination 2026 must possess a bachelor’s degree from a recognized institution. Applicants from all streams—Arts, Science, or Commerce—are eligible. Age Limit for Applicants

The age criteria for BPSC recruitment stipulates a minimum age of 20 to 22 years, depending on the post. The upper age limit for male candidates in the General category is 37 years. Candidates from Scheduled Castes (SC) and Scheduled Tribes (ST) can have a maximum age limit of 42 years.
