- Educational Qualification: Graduation (Bachelor’s Degree) in any discipline from a recognized University / Institution.
- Mandatory Experience: Minimum 1 year of post-qualification experience as an Officer in any Scheduled Commercial Bank listed in the Second Schedule of RBI (Clerical cadre experience not eligible).
- Language Proficiency: Must be proficient (reading, writing, speaking, and understanding) in the specified local language of the applied State.
- Desirable Certifications: IC 38, NISM Series V-A, NISM Series XXI-A, or NISM Series XIII.

BOB Local Bank Officer Selection Process & Exam Scheme
- Selection Process : Online Examination
- Local Language Proficiency Test (LPT)
- Group Discussion (GD) / Personal Interview (PI)
- Document Verification & Pre-Joining Medical Examination.
- Structure of Online Examination (Total 120 Questions | 120 Marks | 120 Minutes) :
• Section 1: English Language: 30 Questions (30 Marks) – 30 Minutes (Qualifying in Nature only; marks will not be added to Final Merit List)
• Section 2: Banking Knowledge: 30 Questions (30 Marks) – 30 Minutes (Bilingual: English & Hindi)
• Section 3: General / Economic Awareness: 30 Questions (30 Marks) – 30 Minutes (Bilingual: English & Hindi)
• Section 4: Reasoning Ability & Quantitative Aptitude: 30 Questions (30 Marks) – 30 Minutes (Bilingual: English & Hindi)
- Negative Marking : 0.25 (1/4th) mark will be deducted for each wrong answer.
- Language Proficiency Test (LPT) Exemption : Candidates producing 10th or 12th standard marksheets/certificates evidencing having studied the specified local language as one of the subjects are exempted from LPT.
- Service Bond & Probation : Selected candidates undergo a 12-month active service probation period and must execute a 3-Year Service Bond (or pay 3 months’ Gross Salary up to Rs. 2 Lakhs). Selected officers will be posted in the applied State for the initial 12 years.
