Eligibility Criteria

Candidates should hold a 3-year or 5-year LL.B. degree from the academic sessions of 2024, 2025, or 2026. Final year students of the 2026 batch, whose results are pending, can also apply.

Salary and Appointment Details
What is the salary?
Selected Research Associates will receive a monthly honorarium of ₹40,000, which may be subject to future increases. However, no additional allowances or government accommodations will be provided.
Contract Duration:
The appointment is contractual, initially for one year, extendable up to three years based on performance. The High Court reserves the right to terminate the contract without notice.
Selection Process
How will candidates be selected?
The selection process will be based on a total of 100 marks, divided into three stages:
Stage A: Academic and Co-curricular Weightage (20 Marks)
Marks will be awarded based on academic performance and extracurricular activities.
Stage B: Screening Test (60 Marks)
A one-hour descriptive exam will be held in Prayagraj.
Stage C: Interview (20 Marks)
The interview will also be scored out of 100, contributing to 20% of the total weightage.
Research Associate Duties:
Selected candidates will assist Honorable Judges with legal research, drafting, preparing notes, studying legal provisions, and maintaining case files.
Important Restrictions
Key Restrictions:
After serving as a Research Associate, candidates cannot appear before the Judge they worked with for two years. No other academic or professional work is allowed during employment without court permission. Previous Research Associates are ineligible to reapply.
