The results for the All India Sainik School for Classes 6 and 9 are anticipated to be announced in March. Students will need their application number and date of birth to download their scorecards.

A large number of candidates who took the All India Sainik School Entrance Examination 2026 are eagerly waiting for their results. This examination took place on January 18, 2026. Following the exam, the National Testing Agency (NTA) published a provisional answer key and allowed students to raise objections. With the resolution of these objections, the final results and answer key are expected to be released soon. Once available, students can access their scorecards online through the official websites: exams.nta.nic.in/sainik-school-society and nta.ac.in.

Expected Release Date for Results

Reports indicate that the results for both Class 6 and Class 9 are likely to be released in March. The scorecards will be accessible using the application number and date of birth. The provisional answer key for both classes was made available on February 11, 2026. Candidates had the opportunity to submit objections until February 14, 2026, by paying a fee of Rs. 200 per question. After reviewing these objections, the final answer key and results will be published. The Sainik School Result 2026 will include the student's name, roll number, total marks, subject-wise performance, and qualifying status. The merit list will feature the application numbers and scores of selected candidates, and results will be available in PDF format on the respective Sainik School websites.

Merit List and Cut-Off Criteria

Merely passing the exam does not guarantee admission to a Sainik School. The final selection will rely on a merit list that is categorized by school and student category. Distinct cut-off marks may be established for General, OBC, ST, and Defense quota candidates. Merit will be assessed based on a total of 300 marks for Class 6 and 400 marks for Class 9. Following the announcement of results, successful candidates must register on the All India Sainik School Admission Counseling portal to select their preferred Sainik Schools. Allocations will be made based on rank and available seats, with the first allotment list expected by the end of March.

Medical Examination for Admission

Candidates who appear on the merit list will be invited for a medical examination at a designated military hospital. After confirming their physical fitness and completing document verification, the final admission process is expected to conclude by April-May 2026.
