RRB NTPC Recruitment Overview

The NTPC (Non-Technical Popular Categories) roles are among the most sought-after positions in the Railways, attracting a vast number of applicants annually.

Exam Announcement for Aspiring Candidates

Exciting news has emerged for countless youth aspiring to secure a position in the Railways. The Railway Recruitment Board (RRB) has revealed the schedule for the graduate-level CBT 1 examination for the RRB NTPC recruitment for the years 2025-26. This examination will take place at various centers nationwide, prompting candidates involved in this recruitment to finalize their preparations.

Exam Schedule

The CBT 1 examination is set to occur from March 16 to March 27, 2025. This means the exam will span over 12 days. Candidates who successfully pass CBT 1 will qualify for the subsequent CBT 2 stage, with its date to be announced later.

Admit Card and City Intimation Slip Release Dates

To assist candidates, the RRB has also disclosed the release dates for admit cards and city intimation slips. The city intimation slip will be available on March 6, 2025. On this date, candidates belonging to Scheduled Caste (SC) and Scheduled Tribe (ST) categories can also download their travel passes. The admit cards will be issued on March 12, 2025, four days prior to the first exam date, and can be downloaded from the respective regional RRB website using their registration number and password.

Mandatory Aadhaar Verification

The RRB has mandated Aadhaar-based biometric verification for all candidates taking the exam this time. It is essential for candidates to bring either their original or e-verified Aadhaar card to the examination center. Those who have not completed their Aadhaar verification should do so promptly by visiting the official website, rrbapply.gov.in, to avoid any issues on the exam day.

Importance of Updated Aadhaar Information

The Railway Board has emphasized that candidates who verified their Aadhaar during the application process must ensure their Aadhaar details are accurate and active in the UIDAI system. Any inconsistencies in Aadhaar information could lead to complications during identity verification at the exam center.

CBT 1 Exam Format

The CBT 1 exam will feature a total of 100 multiple-choice questions, divided into three sections. Candidates will have 90 minutes to complete the exam, while specially abled candidates using a scribe will receive 120 minutes. Each correct answer will earn one mark, whereas one-third of a mark will be deducted for incorrect answers. No penalties will be applied for unanswered questions, so candidates are encouraged to respond only to questions they are confident about.
