JEE Main 2026: Provisional Answer Key Released for Session-1
JEE Main 2026 Session-1 Answer Key Released
The provisional answer key for JEE Main 2026 Session-1 has been officially published, along with the response sheets for students.
This day marks a significant moment for around 1.3 million candidates nationwide, as the National Testing Agency (NTA) has made the provisional answer key and response sheets available. Students can now evaluate their performance by comparing their answers with the correct ones.
JEE Main is recognized as one of the largest engineering entrance exams in India, paving the way for admissions into prestigious institutions like IITs, NITs, and IIITs. Thus, the release of the answer key holds great importance for aspiring engineers.
How to Access the Answer Key
Students can find the answer key and response sheet on the official NTA website, jeemain.nta.nic.in. To access these documents, candidates need to log in using their application number and password. Once logged in, they will see their response sheet alongside the answer key. The response sheet displays the choices made by the student for each question, while the answer key lists the correct answers. This allows students to estimate their potential scores.
Procedure for Raising Objections
The NTA has also provided a window for students to raise objections regarding the answer key. If any student believes that an answer is incorrect, they can submit an objection. The objection period is from February 4th to February 6th, with a fee of Rs. 200 applicable for each question contested. This entire process is conducted online.
NTA's Clarification on Objections
The NTA has assured that all objections will be evaluated by subject matter experts. The final answer key, which will be established after this review, will be used to determine the results. It is important to note that students will not receive individual notifications regarding the acceptance of their objections; the final answer key will apply to all candidates.
