CUET UG 2026: NTA Announces Exam Dates and Guidelines
CUET UG 2026 Exam Schedule and Guidelines
The National Testing Agency (NTA) will conduct the Common University Entrance Test (CUET UG 2026) from May 11 to May 31, 2026. In preparation for the exam, the NTA has released crucial guidelines aimed at ensuring a smooth experience for students at the examination centers. These guidelines cover the dress code, allowed items inside the examination venue, and reporting times. This test is essential for admission into undergraduate programs at Central Universities and other participating institutions, making it vital for candidates to follow these regulations closely.
Subjects Covered in CUET UG 2026
The CUET UG 2026 will encompass 37 subjects. Admission to Central Universities and other institutions will be based solely on merit, eligibility criteria, document verification, and the specific rules of the respective universities.
NTA's Dress Code Advisory
Students are encouraged to wear light and comfortable attire when arriving at the examination center. If woolen clothing is necessary, candidates should notify the center authorities beforehand to ensure a smooth security screening process.
Regular shoes, slippers, or low-heeled footwear are permitted. Students may also wear religious threads, such as a *Kalava* (sacred thread). However, those with religious symbols or objects should arrive early to accommodate security checks.
Items Allowed in the Examination Center
Candidates may bring a transparent water bottle to the exam. It is essential to carry a printed copy of the admit card, two passport-sized photographs, and a government-issued ID. Entry will be denied to anyone without a valid admit card.
Mandatory Early Arrival
The NTA recommends that candidates arrive at the examination center about two hours prior to the exam start time. The gates will close 30 minutes before the exam begins, and no latecomers will be allowed entry. Students must occupy only their assigned seats.
