A significant announcement has been made for the numerous candidates gearing up for the Railway Group D recruitment in 2025. The Railway Recruitment Board (RRB) has modified the timetable for the Computer-Based Test (CBT), extending the examination period. Initially set from August 3 to August 21, the exam will now run until August 25. The updated schedule indicates that the exam will be conducted in multiple phases over a span of 16 days. Candidates are urged to review the essential guidelines regarding admit cards, examination locations, identity verification, Aadhaar authentication, and the exam format.

The Railway Recruitment Board has unveiled the revised timetable for the Group D recruitment 2025 CBT. The examination will now take place on the following dates: August 3–6, August 9–14, August 17–21, and August 25. The exam's conclusion date has been pushed back from August 21 due to this schedule adjustment. This recruitment initiative aims to fill a total of 22,195 positions within the Railways.


Admit Card Release Information

The Board has announced that candidates will be able to access details about their exam cities and download travel authority for SC/ST candidates on the respective RRB websites 10 days before the exam. E-admit cards will be issued four days prior to the examination. For example, candidates scheduled for the exam on August 3 can download their admit cards starting July 31.

The CBT will last for 90 minutes and consist of 100 multiple-choice questions (MCQs). The distribution of questions will be as follows: 25 from Mathematics, 25 from General Science, 30 from General Intelligence and Reasoning, and 20 from General Awareness and Current Affairs. A penalty of one-third of a mark will be deducted for each incorrect answer. Scores will be normalized, and candidates numbering three times the total vacancies will be invited for the PET.
