Registration for JEE Main 2026 Session 2 Begins



The National Testing Agency (NTA) has initiated the registration process for the JEE Main 2026 Session 2. This is a significant opportunity for students aiming to enter the fields of engineering or architecture. The NTA has emphasized that candidates should not delay their applications and should register online as soon as possible. Exam Schedule and Details

The JEE Main 2026 Session 2 examination is scheduled for April, taking place on various dates from April 2nd to April 9th. The exam will be conducted in two shifts: the first from 9 AM to 12 PM and the second from 3 PM to 6 PM. This year, the examination will be held at multiple centers across India and internationally.


Registration Deadline and Fee Structure

The final date for registration is February 25th, with candidates able to submit their online forms until 9 PM. The application fee must be paid by 11:50 PM on the same day. The NTA has recommended that candidates avoid waiting until the last day to fill out their forms to prevent any server issues.


Fee Structure:


1. General category candidates: ₹1000 for a single paper


2. General-EWS and OBC-NCL male candidates, as well as female candidates of all categories: ₹800


3. SC, ST, PWD, and transgender candidates: ₹500


Eligibility criteria state that students who have completed their 12th grade or an equivalent examination in the past three years can apply for JEE Main 2026. Notably, there is no age limit for this examination.


Exam Format and Language Options

Paper Options:


JEE Main consists of two papers: Paper-1 for BE and BTech programs, and Paper-2 for BArch and BPlanning programs. The exam will be available in 13 different languages, allowing students to choose their preferred language. Last year, the NTA eliminated optional questions from Section B, a format that will continue this year.


According to last year's statistics, over 10 lakh students registered for JEE Main Session-2, with approximately 9.92 lakh candidates actually taking the exam, indicating a highly competitive environment.
