CBSE Class 10 Examination Results Announced

On Wednesday, the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) revealed that the pass rate for the Class 10 board exams reached an impressive 93.70%. Notably, over 55,000 students achieved scores above 95%. In total, more than 2.20 lakh students scored above 91%. Once again, female students excelled, with a pass rate of 94.99%, compared to 92.69% for male students and 87.50% for transgender candidates.

In accordance with the National Education Policy (NEP), CBSE has implemented a two-phase examination system for Class 10. The first phase took place in February-March, while the second phase is set for May, requiring students to participate in the initial exam.

This year, a significant change was noted in the announcement of results, as CBSE opted not to hold a press conference. Instead, the results were made available directly on the CBSE website. Detailed statistics regarding pass rates, gender breakdowns, regional performances, and other pertinent information will be accessible online.

Students can also check and download their results through DigiLocker, SMS, and the UMANG app. The results can be accessed at results.cbse.nic.in and cbse.gov.in.

According to CBSE data, 55,368 students scored above 95%, while 2,21,574 students achieved marks over 90%. Additionally, over 1.47 lakh candidates fell into the 'Compartment' category. Regionally, Trivandrum and Vijayawada reported the highest pass rates at 99.79%, while Guwahati had the lowest at 85.32%. Delhi's pass rate stood at 97.38%.

In terms of institutional performance, Kendriya Vidyalayas led with a pass rate of 99.57%, followed closely by Navodaya Vidyalayas at 99.42%. Private schools had a pass rate of 93.77%, while government-aided institutions recorded the lowest at 91.01%.
