Bihar Public Service Commission (BPSC) Update: The BPSC has released two significant notifications regarding upcoming competitive exams. These notices detail the tentative dates for examinations related to the recruitment of Special School Teachers in the Bihar Education Department and District Sports Officers along with other roles in the Sports Department, scheduled for January 2026. The examination for the Special School Teacher position is anticipated to take place on January 29, 2026. Additionally, the exams for the District Sports Officer, Assistant Director (Sports/Youth), and Lecturer roles are set for January 29 and 30, 2026.


Selection Process for Special School Teacher Recruitment 2025

Details of Recruitment:


BPSC will fill a total of 7,279 positions through the Special School Teacher Recruitment 2025. This includes 5,534 vacancies for classes 1 to 5 and 1,745 for classes 6 to 8. This recruitment presents an excellent opportunity for individuals aspiring to teach in special schools across Bihar.


The selection will occur in three phases: first, a written examination; second, a merit list based on the exam results; and finally, an interview. The final selection will consider the candidates' educational qualifications, subject expertise, and interview performance.


Selection Process for BSS Recruitment 2025

Recruitment Details:


The recruitment for District Sports Officer, Assistant Director (Sports/Youth), and Lecturer positions will also follow a three-stage process. The first stage will consist of a Hindi language test and two MCQ-based papers. The second stage will evaluate candidates' sports achievement certificates, graduation credentials, and scores from sports coaching courses. The final stage will involve an interview, which will determine the final selection.


This recruitment encompasses a total of 33 positions, including 13 for the unreserved category, 3 for the Economically Weaker Section (EWS), 5 for Scheduled Castes (SC), 1 for Scheduled Tribes (ST), 6 for Extremely Backward Classes (EBC), 4 for Backward Classes (BC), and 1 for Backward Class Women.
