NEET UG 2026: OMR Sheets and Responses Released by NTA
Release of OMR Sheets and Responses
The National Testing Agency (NTA) has made available the scanned OMR answer sheets along with the recorded responses for the NEET UG 2026 examination. This announcement brings significant relief to the numerous candidates who participated in the medical entrance exam.
Candidates now have the opportunity to verify their marked answers. If they identify any mistakes or inconsistencies in the recorded responses, they can submit an online objection within the designated timeframe.
This service is accessible on the official NTA website, neet.nta.nic.in. Additionally, the scanned OMR sheets have been dispatched to the registered email addresses of the candidates for convenient access. To bolster security, the agency has introduced OTP-based two-factor authentication, requiring candidates to confirm their identity with an OTP sent to their mobile or email after logging in.
This procedure allows candidates to check if their answers on the OMR sheet were accurately recorded. Should they find any discrepancies in the recorded responses, they can raise an online challenge.
Deadline for Objections
Objections Accepted Until July 15
The NTA has stated that the window for challenging recorded responses opened on July 13, 2026, and will remain open until July 15, 2026. A processing fee of ₹200 is required for each question challenged, which can be paid online through debit card, credit card, or net banking. Any challenges submitted after the deadline or without the fee will not be entertained. It is important to note that this facility is exclusively for potential errors related to the OMR sheets and recorded responses. The opportunity to contest the answer key has already closed, and no new challenges regarding the answer key will be accepted.
The original NEET UG 2026 exam took place on May 3, 2026. Although the provisional answer key was released on May 6, the exam was later canceled. A re-examination was conducted on June 21, 2026, from 2:00 PM to 5:15 PM, with over 20 lakh candidates participating. Following the release of the OMR sheets, candidates are now eagerly awaiting the final results.
