Kendriya Vidyalaya Class 1 Admission Updates

The Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan (KVS) has published the lottery results for Balvatika admissions for the academic year 2026-27 on April 8. Today, April 9, marks the release of the first admission list for Class 1. However, in the states of Assam, Kerala, and Puducherry, the lottery results for both Class 1 and Balvatika will be announced on April 10 due to ongoing general elections. While the admission results for Balvatika are available on the official KVS website, it is essential for selected students to confirm their admission directly with their respective schools.

**Important: Failure to Confirm Admission Will Lead to Seat Cancellation**

Once the admission list is published, parents of selected candidates must complete the necessary admission formalities within the specified timeframe. They are required to submit specific documents; failure to do so may result in the cancellation of the seat, which will then be allocated to a student on the waiting list.

**Documents Required for Admission**

1. Proof of Age and Residence

2. Birth Certificate

3. Passport-sized Photograph

4. EWS/BPL Certificate

5. Parent's Service Certificate for Priority Categories (if applicable)

6. Caste Certificate (for Reserved Categories)

7. Income Certificate (for RTE applicants)

**Subsequent Admission Lists**

If there are still vacant seats after the first list, a second list for Class 1 admissions will be released on April 16, followed by a third list on April 21. The admission process will be phased, starting with students from the Right to Education (RTE) category, followed by those from Service Priority Groups.

**Offline Registration for Remaining Seats**

Should there still be vacant seats after the third list, offline registrations will be held to fill those spots. This offline registration process will begin on April 22 and continue until April 26, 2026. Admissions for Balvatika, Class 2, and higher grades will take place from April 15 to April 20, 2026. The final deadline for admissions (excluding Class 11) is set for June 30, 2026.
