The JEE Advanced examination is set to take place in May 2026, as announced by the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Roorkee. For students intending to participate, the eligibility requirements for the JEE Advanced exam are outlined below.


Exam Date and Format

As per the official announcement, the JEE Advanced 2026 will occur on May 17. Both Paper 1 and Paper 2 will be administered in Computer-Based Test (CBT) format. Paper 1 is scheduled from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM, followed by Paper 2 from 2:30 PM to 5:30 PM. This examination will be conducted across the country.


Eligibility Criteria for JEE Advanced 2026

To qualify for the JEE Advanced 2026, candidates must be among the top 2.5 lakh scorers in the JEE Main exam. Eligible candidates should have been born on or after October 1, 2000, with a provision for a 5-year age relaxation for those in reserved categories. Additionally, applicants must possess a PCM (Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics) degree from 2024. Students currently in their 12th grade and set to take their exams in 2025 are also permitted to apply.
