Practical Exams Schedule Released
The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has officially announced the timetable for practical examinations for Class 10 and Class 12 students. As per the latest notification from CBSE, these practical exams, along with projects and internal assessments, are set to take place from November 6 to December 6. Initially, these exams were slated to commence on January 1, but due to winter conditions in certain regions, the board has opted to start them earlier.
For schools across the rest of India, the practical exams will begin on January 1, 2026.
Mandatory Participation in Practical Exams
Attendance in Practical Exams is Essential.
According to the CBSE notification, it is compulsory for all students to participate in the practical examinations. Those who do not attend will be deemed ineligible to pass their respective classes, and their results will not be published. Therefore, it is crucial for all students to ensure their participation in these practical assessments.
Key Guidelines from CBSE
Important Instructions for Smooth Conduct of Exams
To facilitate the orderly execution of board examinations, CBSE has issued several guidelines for schools, which include:
1. Only students whose names have been submitted to CBSE via the List of Candidates (LOC) will be permitted to take the board exams.
2. Teachers must ensure that only accurate marks are uploaded when submitting students' scores, as there will be no chance for corrections later.
3. If a subject has more than 30 students enrolled, schools are required to conduct two to three sessions for practicals.
4. Internal assessments for Class 10 and practical exams for Class 12 will be conducted only once.
5. Schools are advised to start uploading marks as soon as the practical exams commence to meet the deadlines.
