CSBC Bihar Police Constable Exam 2025: Candidates preparing for the Bihar Police Constable Recruitment have received encouraging news. The Central Selection Board (CSBC) has unveiled the tentative timeline for the Constable Physical Test.


The advertisement number 01/2025 was released by the Central Selection Board for filling 19,838 constable positions within the Bihar Police. The written examination took place in six phases, spanning from July 16, 2025, to August 3, 2025.


Physical Test Commencement in December:


While the CSBC has yet to confirm specific dates, they have indicated that the Physical Efficiency Test (PET) is expected to commence in December 2025. The results of the written examination and the list of candidates eligible for the PET will be published in due course.


Driver Constable Written Exam Scheduled for December:


The CSBC will also conduct the written examination for Driver Constables in December, aiming to fill 4,361 vacancies through this recruitment initiative.


Details of the Bihar Police Constable Physical Test:



  • Race: Male candidates must complete a designated distance within a specific time (typically a 1.6 km race in approximately 6 minutes). Female candidates have a slightly different requirement (usually a 1 km race).

  • Shot Put: Male candidates are required to throw a shot weighing around 16 pounds, while female candidates will throw a lighter shot (approximately 12 pounds).

  • Long Jump: Candidates must achieve a minimum jump distance to assess their physical capability and fitness.


Minimum Passing Marks:


The Bihar Police Constable written examination is scored out of 100 marks. Candidates must obtain at least 30 percent, equating to 30 marks, to pass. Those who do not meet this minimum requirement will be disqualified from progressing to subsequent stages, including the Physical Efficiency Test (PET), Physical Standard Test (PST), and Medical Examination.
