Meghalaya Government Launches CM-INSPIRE Scheme for Civil Services Aspirants
Introduction to CM-INSPIRE Scheme
The Meghalaya Government has introduced a new initiative named 'CM-INSPIRE' aimed at motivating young individuals who are preparing for Civil Services. This program offers financial support of ₹50,000 to candidates who successfully pass the UPSC Civil Services Preliminary Examination (Prelims), and ₹1 lakh for those who clear the Main Examination (Mains).
Purpose of the Scheme
Chief Minister Conrad K. Sangma announced that the primary goal of this scheme is to enhance the dwindling involvement of the youth from Meghalaya in Civil Services. He highlighted that the representation of the state's youth in these services has seen a decline in recent years, prompting the need for this initiative to reverse the trend.
Scheme Objectives
The government intends to support economically challenged yet capable candidates, ensuring they can continue their preparation without financial burdens. This initiative aims to help students concentrate better on their studies and exam preparations.
Message from the Chief Minister
In his address to the youth, the Chief Minister reassured them of the government's unwavering support and encouraged them to stay focused on their aspirations. He urged candidates to maintain their confidence and work diligently towards their goals.
Eligibility and Application Process
Candidates interested in benefiting from this scheme must apply through the Meghalaya Administrative Training Institute (MATI) portal.
