Tribal Development Department (TDC) Recruitment: The TDC, located in Nashik, Maharashtra, has announced a recruitment drive for the position of Watchmen (Chowkidar) under the Integrated Tribal Development Projects (ITDP). A total of 416 positions are available. Interested candidates can apply online until May 18, 2026.


Eligibility Criteria:
Applicants must have completed at least the 10th grade (SSC) from a recognized board to qualify for this role.


Age Limit:
The maximum age for General category candidates is 38 years. For SC/ST/OBC candidates, the limit is 43 years; for Persons with Benchmark Disabilities (PwBD), it is 45 years. Ex-servicemen receive an additional 3 years of relaxation based on their service duration (up to a maximum of 45 years). Orphan candidates can apply until the age of 43, while part-time employees can apply until 55 years.


Application Fee:
The application fee is non-refundable. Candidates must pay the fee online using Debit Cards, Credit Cards, or Net Banking. The fee is ₹1,000 for General (Open) category candidates and ₹900 for Backward Classes, EWS, Orphan, and PwBD candidates, reflecting a 10% discount. Ex-servicemen and Disabled Ex-servicemen can apply without any fee.


Selection Process:
The selection will begin with a Computer-Based Online Examination, which will be an objective-type (MCQ) test worth 200 marks. A merit list will be created based on the scores. Candidates who achieve marks above the cut-off (45% for General and 40% for Reserved Categories) will proceed to Document Verification, where their certificates will be verified.


Salary Details:
Selected candidates will receive a salary according to the S-1 Pay Scale, ranging from ₹15,000 to ₹47,600 per month. Additional allowances will also be provided as per government regulations, enhancing the overall compensation package.
