IIT Roorkee has announced the registration process and exam schedule for JEE Advanced 2026. Registration for foreign students starts on April 6, while Indian students can apply from April 23. JEE Advanced 2026 Exam Schedule


JEE Advanced Exam Date 2026: IIT Roorkee has officially released the registration timeline and examination schedule for JEE Advanced 2026. This year, IIT Roorkee will oversee the exam. As per the announcement, registration for international candidates will commence on April 6, 2026, while Indian students can start applying from April 23, 2026. Interested applicants can submit their applications online until May 2, 2026, via the official website jeeadv.ac.in.


Exam Timing and Admit Card Availability:
The examination is scheduled for May 17, 2026, and will be conducted in two shifts. Admit cards will be accessible for download from May 11 to May 17, 2026. Candidates can retrieve their admit cards from the official site during this timeframe. The first session will take place from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM, followed by the second session from 2:30 PM to 5:30 PM.


Eligibility Criteria:
To qualify for the JEE Advanced exam, candidates must rank within the top 250,000 in Paper 1 (BE/BTech) of JEE Main 2026, applicable to all categories. Each candidate is permitted a maximum of two attempts, which must occur in consecutive years.


Restrictions on Previous IIT Admissions:
Only those who are appearing for their first class 12th or equivalent examination in 2025 or 2026 are eligible. It is mandatory for candidates to have studied Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics. Additionally, individuals who have previously gained admission to any IIT are not eligible to take the JEE Advanced exam.


The JEE Advanced 2026 will be conducted in a Computer-Based Test (CBT) format at various designated centers nationwide. The question paper will be available in both Hindi and English to enhance accessibility for all students.
