NEET PG 2026 City Intimation Slip Announcement

NEET PG 2026 City Intimation Slip: The anticipation is nearing its end for numerous doctors gearing up for the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test for Postgraduate (NEET PG). The National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences (NBEMS) is set to unveil the 'Exam City Intimation Slip' on August 11. Candidates can access the slip via the official website, natboard.edu.in, by entering their login details.

Importance of the City Intimation Slip

The release of the city intimation slip will assist candidates in organizing their travel plans. However, it is important to note that this slip solely indicates the exam city and should not be confused with the admit card, as it does not provide the specific address of the exam center. The NEET PG examination is scheduled to take place in a computer-based format on August 30, 2026, with admit cards being issued on August 27. The exam will be conducted in over 340 cities nationwide.

Follow these steps to download the NEET PG city slip:

Difference Between City Slip and Admit Card

Understanding the distinction: Many candidates confuse the NEET PG city slip with the admit card, but they serve different purposes. The city slip only indicates the city where the exam center is located, aiding in travel planning. In contrast, the admit card, which will be available on August 27, will include the complete address of the exam center, roll number, reporting time, and essential entry instructions.

NEET PG 2026 Exam Pattern Changes

Updates to the exam format: The NBEMS has implemented changes to enhance the organization of the NEET PG exam:

  • Number of Questions: The total questions have been decreased by 10%, from 200 to 180 multiple-choice questions (MCQs).

  • Marking Scheme: The total marks have been adjusted from 800 to 720.

  • Time-Locked Sections: The NEET PG question paper will consist of 5 mandatory sections, each containing 36 questions, with a time limit of 42 minutes per section. The section will automatically lock after 42 minutes.

NEET PG 2026 Result Declaration
