DRDO Gwalior Internship Opportunities in Biological and Chemical Sciences
Internship Program at DRDE, Gwalior
Defence Research and Development Establishment (DRDE) located in Gwalior, which operates under the Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO), has announced openings for internships. This initiative aims to select qualified candidates for roles in Biological Sciences, Chemical Sciences, and Engineering. Importantly, there will be no written test involved in the selection process. This internship provides students with a chance to acquire hands-on experience in their fields and deepen their subject knowledge.
**Disciplines Eligible for Application**
Students enrolled in postgraduate or engineering programs can apply for this internship. In Biological Sciences, eligible subjects include Biotechnology, Microbiology, Pharmacology, Toxicology, and Immunology; students in the third or fourth semester of an M.Sc. program or the seventh or eighth semester of a B.Tech. program in these areas are welcome to apply. For Chemical Sciences, students in the third or fourth semester of an M.Sc. (or equivalent) in Chemistry—covering Organic, Inorganic, or Analytical Chemistry—are eligible. Additionally, those in the seventh or eighth semester of a B.E. or B.Tech. program in Electronics, Mechanical Engineering, Information Technology, or Computer Science can also apply.
**Age Criteria and Key Dates**
Applicants must be below 28 years of age as of November 14, 2026. The internship duration is six months. Candidates selected will be informed by December 1, 2026, and the internship will start on January 1, 2027.
**Selection Methodology**
No written examination is required for this internship. Selection will be based on eligibility criteria and the documents submitted with the application. If needed, candidates may undergo a telephonic or video interview. Only those shortlisted will receive an internship offer letter. Therefore, it is crucial to provide accurate details in the application and include all necessary documents. Selected interns will receive a stipend of ₹30,000 during their tenure.
