CBSE Class 10 Board Exams: Important Updates on Retakes and Schedule
CBSE Board Exams Commence
The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has officially started its board examinations. The Mathematics and Home Science papers for Class 10 have been completed. Many students are feeling anxious about their performance in Mathematics. However, they are encouraged to shift their focus to upcoming papers to enhance their overall results.
Opportunity for Re-examination
Students who are dissatisfied with their performance will have the chance to retake their exams. It's important to note that CBSE will conduct Class 10 examinations twice this academic year. Therefore, if you did not perform well in Mathematics, there is no need for concern. After all exams are concluded, students can prepare for the retake and aim for better scores.
Subject Selection for Retakes
Once the results are announced, students who have underperformed in certain subjects will have the option to retake the board exams by selecting three subjects to improve their scores. Additionally, those with compartment or supplementary exams will also have the opportunity to reappear and pass.
Schedule for Second Session Exams
Following the completion of the first session exams, CBSE is expected to announce the results in April. Applications for the second session will then be accepted. The second-chance board exams are anticipated to take place from May 5, 2026, to May 20, 2026. The final results are expected to be released in June 2026. The official date sheet will likely be published after the results in April.
