Canara Bank Apprentice Vacancy & Eligibility Details

• Graduation in any discipline from a recognized University.


• Graduation must be completed between 01/01/2023 and 01/09/2026.


• Minimum 60% marks in 12th Std (10+2) / Diploma (55% for SC/ST/PwBD).


• Must have a 100% complete profile on NATS portal (nats.education.gov.in).


• Proficiency in the specified local language of the opted state is required (exempted if local language is confirmed in 10th or 12th marksheet).

Selection Process

• A merit list will be created state-wise based on the marks obtained in 12th Standard (HSC / 10+2) / Diploma Examination.


• Candidates must have a minimum of 60% aggregate marks in 12th / Diploma (55% for SC / ST / PwBD candidates). In case of a tie, older candidates will be prioritized.


• Local Language Test: Conducted during Document Verification for candidates who have not studied the specified local language in 10th or 12th standard.


• No Written Examination: Selection will be based on merit derived from 10+2/Diploma percentage followed by Document Verification and Medical Fitness.


• Stipend Structure: A total stipend of Rs. 16,650/- per month (Canara Bank pays Rs. 10,500/- and Government of India credits Rs. 6,150/- directly through DBT).


• Training Nature: Engagement is purely as an Apprentice for 12 months under the Apprentices Act, 1961. Apprentices are not considered bank employees and have no claim for permanent employment.

How to Apply for Canara Bank Apprentice Online Form 2026

• Step 1 (Mandatory Portal Registration): Register on the National Apprenticeship Training Scheme (NATS 2.0) portal at nats.education.gov.in and ensure your profile is 100% complete to generate your Student Enrollment ID.


• Step 2: Visit Canara Bank's official career page at canarabank.com.


• Click on “CLICK HERE FOR NEW REGISTRATION” and enter your basic details, active mobile number, valid email ID, and your NATS Enrollment Number.


• Select only ONE STATE for application and provide your district preference order within that chosen state.


• Fill in your educational qualifications including Class 10th, 12th/Diploma aggregate percentage, and Graduation completion details (must be completed between 01/01/2023 and 01/09/2026).


• Upload scanned photograph (4.5 x 3.5 cm, 20-50 KB), signature in black ink (10-20 KB), left thumb impression (20-50 KB), and handwritten declaration (50-100 KB).


• Pay the application fee of Rs. 500/- online through the integrated payment gateway (exempted for SC/ST/PwBD).


• Verify all details using “Save & Next”, click on “Final Submit” on or before 17 October 2026, and print the system-generated application form and fee e-receipt for Document Verification.
