The distribution of general recruitment posts is as follows: 500 for General, 254 for SC, 25 for ST, 345 for OBC, and 144 for the Economically Weaker Section (EWS). These positions are classified under Level 5 pay scale, with salaries ranging from ₹29,200 to ₹92,300.


Eligibility Requirements


Candidates must have taken the UPSSSC Preliminary Eligibility Test (PET) in 2025 to qualify for this recruitment. A valid PET scorecard issued by the Commission is mandatory for applicants. Selection for the main examination will be based on this score.


To be eligible for the Livestock Extension Officer role, candidates should have completed their Class 12 education with a focus on Biology. Additionally, they must possess a 2-year Livestock Extension Diploma from a recognized veterinary university or college. Proficiency in Hindi (Devanagari script) is also required. The age limit for candidates is set between 21 and 40 years as of July 1st, with age relaxation applicable for reserved categories as per regulations.


Application Fee and Examination Details


The application fee for this recruitment is relatively low. All candidates, regardless of category (General, OBC, SC, and ST), are required to pay an online fee of ₹25 during the application process. Notably, there will be no additional examination fee for candidates who qualify for the main examination. Those shortlisted based on their PET scores will need to take the main examination, which will consist of 100 objective-type multiple-choice questions. The exam duration will be two hours, with each question carrying one mark. A penalty of one-fourth of a mark will be imposed for incorrect answers.
