UPSC Updates for Civil Services Examination 2025



The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has announced a significant update for candidates who participated in the Civil Services Examination 2025. The Commission has published the mark sheets for all three phases: Prelims, Mains, and the Final Interview on its official website. Candidates who took part in this examination can now easily view and download their scores online. Following the announcement of results, many candidates were eagerly waiting for their Prelims mark sheets, and that wait is now over. To access their mark sheets, candidates should visit the official UPSC website.


To download the Prelims mark sheets, candidates need to input their Roll Number and Date of Birth. For the Mains examination mark sheet, a Roll Number and Password are required. All candidates, regardless of their success in the Prelims and Mains, can now check their scores. Previously, the Commission had already disclosed the Mains and Interview scores along with the cutoff marks for the selected candidates.

In the Civil Services Examination 2025, Anuj Agnihotri achieved remarkable success, securing the All India Rank 1 with a total of 1071 marks out of 2025, which is approximately 52.88 percent. He scored 867 marks in the Mains examination and 204 marks in the Interview. Rajeshwari Suve M followed closely in second place with 1067 marks (52.69 percent), scoring 865 in Mains and 202 in the Interview. Akanksha Dhull claimed the third position with a total of 1057 marks (52.19 percent).

The cut-off for the General category in the Civil Services Preliminary Examination 2025 was established at 92.66 marks. For the Mains Examination, the cut-off was set at 739 marks, while the final selection cut-off stood at 963 marks.

Examination and Selection Overview

**Examination Timeline**


The final results for the Civil Services Examination 2025 were announced on March 6, 2026. The Preliminary Examination took place on May 25, 2025. Approximately 9.37 lakh candidates registered for this examination, with around 5.76 lakh actually appearing for the test. A total of 14,161 candidates were selected for the Mains Examination, and 2,736 candidates were invited for the interview, also known as the Personality Test.


In total, 958 candidates have been recommended for various services, including 659 men and 299 women. Among the selected candidates, 317 belong to the General category, 104 to EWS, 306 to OBC, 158 to SC, and 73 to the ST category.
