The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has officially announced the NDA 2 Recruitment for 2026, offering a total of 394 positions. Interested candidates can submit their applications online through the official UPSC website before the deadline of June 9.

The recruitment aims to select candidates for admission into the National Defence Academy (NDA) and the Indian Naval Academy (INA). Vacancy Distribution
The recruitment will fill a total of 394 positions, specifically allocated as follows:
- 208 seats for the Army
- 42 seats for the Navy
- 120 seats for various branches of the Air Force
- 24 seats for the Naval Academy
Examination Schedule
The written examination is scheduled for September 13, 2026, and will take place at various locations nationwide. Candidates can expect the release of admit cards on September 6, 2026, with results anticipated later that month.
Eligibility Criteria
Candidates must have completed or be currently enrolled in the 12th grade to qualify for the examination. For the Army Wing, applicants from any stream are eligible, while those applying for the Air Force and Navy must have studied Physics and Mathematics in their 12th-grade curriculum.
Age Limit
The age requirement for applicants is set for those born between January 1, 2008, and January 1, 2011. Only unmarried male and female candidates may apply.
Selection Process
The NDA recruitment process consists of three stages:
- A written examination covering Mathematics and General Ability
- An interview conducted by the Services Selection Board (SSB)
- A medical examination
Final selections will be based on candidates' performances across all stages.
Application Fee
The application fee for this recruitment is set at ₹100, with exemptions available for candidates from reserved categories.
Stipend and Salary
Candidates will receive a monthly stipend of approximately ₹56,100 during their training. After completing their training, selected officers will be compensated according to the Level 10 Pay Scale, which includes a salary and additional allowances.
