UP Public Service Commission Announces Exam Dates



The UP Public Service Commission has officially announced the timetable for the Assistant Prosecution Officer (APO) Main Examination 2025. This examination is set to take place from June 28 to June 30. The first day will feature the General Hindi paper in the morning session from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM, followed by the General English paper in the afternoon from 2:30 PM to 4:00 PM.


On June 29, the General Knowledge paper will be conducted from 9:00 AM to 10:30 AM, and the Criminal Law and Procedure paper will follow in the afternoon session from 2:30 PM to 5:30 PM.


Final Day Schedule

The last day of the examination, June 30, will include the Evidence Act paper from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM, and the 'Other Acts' paper will be held from 2:30 PM to 5:30 PM. Brajesh Kumar Tyagi, the Secretary of the UP Public Service Commission, has confirmed this schedule, noting that it may be altered due to unforeseen circumstances. The results for the Preliminary Examination were announced on April 30.


Vacancy Details


The Preliminary Examination for APO 2025 took place on March 22, 2026. A total of 93,419 candidates registered for this recruitment, with 50,795 actually participating in the exam. There are 182 positions available, and 2,856 candidates have been provisionally selected for the Main Examination. The results are provisional, and details regarding scores and cut-offs will be published after the final selection results are declared. No requests regarding this will be accepted under the Right to Information Act, 2005.
