UP Scholarship Scheme 2026-27 Launch
The Uttar Pradesh Social Welfare Department has initiated the application process for the UP Scholarship Scheme for the academic year 2026-27. This scholarship is open to eligible students from classes 9 to 12, including those from General, Scheduled Caste (SC), Scheduled Tribe (ST), Other Backward Class (OBC), and minority communities. Application Timeline

For students in classes 9 to 12 who are renewing their scholarships, the registration and document submission will take place from August 11 to August 25, 2026.
New applicants, including those entering classes 9 and 11 for the first time, can submit their applications online from August 11 to September 21, 2026.
Selection Procedure

Once applications are submitted, verification will occur at the school level, followed by a review by district officials. The National Informatics Centre (NIC) will then check the data for any discrepancies. After all verification steps are completed and the application is approved, scholarship funds will be directly transferred to the students' bank accounts linked to their Aadhaar.
Disbursement Schedule
**When will the scholarship be disbursed?**
The department anticipates that renewal students in classes 9 to 12 will receive their scholarship funds between October 25 and October 31, 2026. Fresh applicants are expected to receive their funds between January 25 and January 31, 2027.
Post-Matric Scholarship Details
**Post-Matric Scholarship (Dashmottar Scholarship)**
Students enrolled in graduation, post-graduation, diploma, ITI, or other courses after Class 12 can apply for the Post-Matric (Dashmottar) scholarship. It is essential for students to apply through the official portal and ensure that all required documents are submitted to their respective institutions promptly after completing the online application.
