South Eastern Coalfields Limited (SECL) has initiated a significant recruitment campaign for Apprentice roles for the year 2026. This initiative aims to fill a total of 1,600 positions, catering to both engineering graduates and diploma holders.


Application Deadline and Experience

Candidates interested in these positions can submit their applications online until March 31, 2026, gaining valuable experience at a renowned Public Sector Undertaking (PSU).


Distinct Categories for Applicants

The recruitment drive is divided into two main categories. The first is for Graduate Apprentices, targeting degree holders in engineering fields such as Mining, Mechanical, Electrical, and Civil. The second category is for Technician Apprentices, aimed at candidates with an engineering diploma. Notably, the majority of vacancies are designated for Mining Engineering students.


Eligibility Criteria

To qualify, applicants must hold a B.E./B.Tech degree or a diploma in the relevant field. Additionally, registration on the NATS portal is mandatory. Only those who completed their studies in 2023, 2024, or 2025 are eligible. Candidates who have previously undergone an apprenticeship or have more than one year of work experience are disqualified.


Stipend and Benefits

Selected candidates will receive a monthly stipend during their training. Graduate Apprentices will earn approximately ₹9,000 per month, while Diploma holders will receive ₹8,000 per month, as per Government of India regulations.


Selection Process

The selection process does not include a written examination. Candidates will be chosen based on a merit list created from their educational qualifications. In cases where candidates have identical marks, preference will be given to the older applicant.

To apply, candidates must first register on the NATS portal. Then, they should visit the official SECL website to complete the application form. It is essential to accurately fill in all required details and upload the necessary documents. Finally, submit the form and retain a printout for future reference.
