The RPSC announced the RAS-2024 recruitment on September 2, 2024, attracting 675,000 applicants. The preliminary examination took place on February 2, 2025, with 375,657 candidates participating. Results were released on February 20, 2025. The main examination is scheduled from June 17 to June 18, 2025, with results expected on October 8, 2025. Out of the applicants, 2,461 candidates have been shortlisted for the interview.

Initially, this recruitment was for 733 positions, which has now been increased to 1,096. This includes 428 roles in state services and 668 in subordinate services. The first interview phase occurred from December 1 to December 12, 2025, followed by the second phase from December 15 to December 24, 2025.
